A watch I lusted after for a long time.
I chased this one in the mid 2010’s but never got there. Instead I ended up with its younger brother (the Dato Up/Down). That one is long gone; interestingly I have a feeling if I’d landed the OG Dato back then I may still have it. Enjoy this legend.
I think Lange went backwards with the up/down!
The dial and sizing of this model is perfect and I agree that a strap color change works wonders for the Dato. I had Camille Fournet make me a natural rubber backed taurillon leather strap for the summer months. ...
