I thought I would never own a Lange again

Jul 09, 2024,01:26 AM

Ever since I disapprove of the 'bundling' policy relating to the Odysseus...

But I saw this simple Richard Lange with green croco last year and could not lose it in my mind, hence the plunge after a full 12 months.

Now the problem is finding the right attire to match it :P

You could go green suede to make it more casual

Especially compelling ALS.

I just love the elegance and minimalism of it. Much joy with it, cheers, Filip

I am inclined towards time only watches these days

I would think this watch goes well with anything.

Like a tux or jeans and polo.

Looks great.

I have the same piece - but not on a strap with as much character as yours. I...don't believe I have anything green in my wardrobe though, so I think I'm good! Enjoy your PG Richard Lange.

You have done well, sir

I keep returning to this watch but have never gone for it; whenever I try one it just doesn't sit right on my wrist. But it's such a strong and elegant chronometer, it's hard to ignore!

I can understand

 By: samwan : July 9th, 2024-13:44
The same basically happened to me....

Congratz on this piece.

A classic design language like Lange's will stay relevant for a very long time IMO. Hence, I understand why it stuck in your mind.

Simple is more...

I will try the casual angle...

That's why I love this reference so much!

Much better than the jumping seconds or regulator models IMO

It looks great.

The three handed RL is one of my favourite three handed watches along with the PLM. So much charm. In 2019 at a Lange dinner there were some heavyweight watches at the dinner table and Max from Germany was most taken with my simple RL 232.032. He kept goi...

Yes, the 3-handed RL is

A failsafe and longlasting design...

Wonderful combo!

Simplicity at its best.

The Richard Lange is sadly underappreciated. The rose gold case goes brilliantly well with the strap. Beautiful!

Great combo, Sam, and glad you found a comfort zone with present-day Lange.

 By: CR : July 11th, 2024-12:41
Do you know if Lange had this strap made by Camille Fournet? Or was it Jean Rousseau? I believe Lange still uses CF for their standard straps and JR for the less common/bespoke straps, and I'm not sure where this green strap would fit. It's very nice! Yea...

I know nothing about Lange straps

 By: samwan : July 11th, 2024-13:54
except that I found this light green strap fitting nicely with the pink gold, nicer than the dark green at least. I will ask the Lange people when I have the chance....
