One of the best F.P. Journe pieces ever! The New Resonance!

Sep 13, 2020,09:35 AM

I have always been fallen in love with the Resonance since when it first launched more than 15 years ago. As soon as I heard the news about the whole new redesign of the Resonance, I immediately contacted my beloved authorized dealer. After few months of waiting, my dream piece finally arrived; and I just got a chance to pick up a few days ago.

The salmon dial might not be everyone's cup of tea; but I strongly believe F.P. Journe does make the nicest one out there. The 40mm does wear very well; and the dial layout is so beautiful and well balanced. I might sound a bit biased; but I can find no fault when it comes to overall design of this marvelous timepiece. A big applause and shout out to designers at F.P. Journe!

For some reason I’m drawn more to dual 12 hour dial version, but this too is a marvel. Congrats! ...

It’s a design decision that may or may not gel with one’s perception of what looks good to their eyes.

That’s not strictly true I’m afraid

We are well past the classical period in composition, where design and proportion adhered to tried and tested standards. Today’s post-modern mash-ups celebrate ‘anything goes.’ This is an entirely different non-rule based approach. It can - and does - all...

Congrats, how long did you wait?

Is The difference between the 40 and 42mm the thicker bezel?

Congrats!

The new one is a master piece, in my very honest opinion. And I was able to try the version you got, two weeks ago. I absolutely love the red in 40 mm. It feeels very much like the old 38 mm pieces due to the proportions. Although I always go for the more...

Many congratulations, a fitting evolution of the Resonance.
