Cartier Ceinture watch, still a hidden gem.

Quite a unique watch is the Cartier Centre watch, that was re-launched in the Seventies for the last time.

With its hidden crown, it was the inspiration, for the designers to come up with a same kind of winding crown,
for the Tank Anglaise, where the crown was also hidden in the bezel.
These watches were never enlarged and are about the size of a classic Louis Cartier Tank.
There is a 31x31mm version with automatic caliber. The one pictured here is 27mmx27mm and has a mechanical
winding caliber.

Actually amazing since the watch was sold in unlimited numbers in the 70'. The design is historical and from the 30', so I am quite surprised it is so unknown. GEO

It's a beautiful watch

I could be a lovely reissue, sized up a bit...

Cartier is very good at reissues...
