Hi All, This is my first post (not a reply to a post) on the Piaget forum and I hope you like these limited edition rare handcrafts watches.

A forum member introduced me to Marc Menant (Brand and Customer Experience Manager in Asia) who presented these amazing beauties to me.  THE Anita Porchet, the world’s foremost horological enameler, is responsible for two of these watches !

Which one(s) do you like and why ?

These cloisonné enamel birds have such vibrant and bright colors !  Details are so good !  Being the PuristS enamel slave/addict, I adore this watch the most out of the 4 shown to me because it was made by Ms Porchet and signed with “AP” on th dial !

G0A45117 Altiplano High Jewelry Cloisonné enamel, 36mm in rose gold with manual winding movement, Piaget 430P. Limited edition of 8 pieces.

Next is the mini mosaic dial depicting a view of the famous palace right in the middle of the lake I Udaipur (Part of James Bond movie Octopussy in 1983 was shot there). The dial and the case contain 4,500 to 5000 tiny pieces of colored glass. The artist would use different colors to get to one that he liked and then pulled it to make it narrow before cutting off the small pieces. It took approximately 3 months to create a single piece!

G0A38585 Protocole XXL micro mosaic in rose gold with Piaget ultra-thin 830P movement. Limited edition of 8 pieces.

Third piece was one that combined the engraving of Dick Steenman and enameling from Anita Porchet, with DS first sculpting the rose gold dial, creating the mountains and rivers visible under the enamel, and AP bringing life to the dial thanks to the intense and vivid enamel colors, combining the champlevé and miniature enamel techniques.  Also 8 pieces made only.

Fourth piece was an engraving depicting the Santa Maria della Salute in Venice and the details were so good under a loupe. The full white gold engraving is hosted in the upper part of the watch which, in the original Double Jeu concept, was used for a second ultra-thin movement, creating an original GMT watch.

G0A40564 Altiplano Double Jeu in white gold with Piaget ultra-thin 830P movement. Limited edition of 8 pieces.

Thanks for posting these amazing Piaget creations, as I was saying earlier I didn't know AP (or her atelier) were also doing work for Piaget -- terrific! The lake mosaic and the birds (but in a no diamond version) for me ;-)

I think pieces she did were in 2004 or 2005 on a collection called Miss Protocole (discontinued since then) featuring with Champleve enamel on the dial and case. Since then, she does pieces regularly but they are of course very confidential.

Dear Gordon, I like the parrot one most. Since cloisonné enamel has been my favourite just like you. Besides, the parrots are extremely beautiful and colourful. Hope it wouldn't be as difficult to acquire as those Patek rare handicrafts. Cheers, Henry
