First visit to a proper restaurant in a year....

This friday I went dining with a group of friends. Being the first visit to a 'proper' restaurant in a year, obviously everyone was super excited and in a party mood. even including the staff who where so happy to recieve guests again.  We went to a local michelin restaurant that has just reopened.

I managed to photograph most of the dishes however I only managed to photograph the first wines as i got a bit tipsy and forgot to ask the waiter.

Saturday I felt like Martin Sheen in "Apocalypse Now"....however I can only say it was worth it as the previous evening was fantastic! Fine dining with a group of great friends. It doesnt get much better.

Here are some pictures.

Here are some of the wines.

My friend who made the selection is very much in to biodynamic and nature wines. While it is not my expertise or first selection, I have to admit I really enjoyed (most of) these and even thougth that I need to broaden my horizon somewhat.

Because Iā€™m not there or not even at a point where this is possible any time soon. The small plate multi course menu is always the most enjoyable in my opinion. It almost ensures that every diner will be happy as it protects us from our own bad choices wh...

Iā€™m crossing my fingers that it will improve in NYC soon

Itā€™s been a long, tough time. Especially for you guys it has been particularly tough. I agree, I love the small servings the most. Itā€™s all about a well composed bite. And usually these spark the most creativity and inspiration. This place is very much in...

That would be really great, something which should happen.

We have been fortunate to have been to Noma and Ralae (both in their day) and several others across Scandinavia. Some new adventures are long over due !

Wow, what a great experience after such a long time of hibernation

To be honest I also didnā€™t have any appreciation for nature/natural wines until quite recentlyā€¦. Now I do appreciate the specific characteristics of those wines, the tiny ā€œbubbleā€ of some and moreover the juiciness of especially the red wines. If you like...

Wauw, thank you for the tip...

I wil definitely look in to those. Very cool labels BTW Something changed that night and I feel more open. I come from a family of Bordeaux drinkers and think that has perhaps made me a bit conservative with wine. I have also tasted a lot of crap nature w...
