the silent "yusheng" (鱼生) toss

"yusheng" (鱼生) is a raw fish salad dish eaten in this part of the world during Chinese New Year. prior to eating the "yusheng", diners will gather around the dish and toss the salad together while saying/shouting/yelling auspicious phrases. it's always a fun and noisy part of the meal for everyone gathered around the table.

ready to be tossed

this Chinese New Year, the tossing of "yusheng" (鱼生) is silent 🤫 hopefully, next year's "yusheng" (鱼生) toss will be back to normal and even louder. wishing everyone here... HUAT AH!!! "huat ah" means "to prosper" and is a chinese dialect 😁🤑
