Gone Fishin’

We walked along the harbor yesterday, getting a bit of exercise, checking out the scenery, etc. like this little flotilla:

We found a fishing boat that was selling their catch right from the dock. Pull out a big fish, Chop chop and it’s soon- 1-2 lbs filets or chunks.

We got a kilo of ahi - $21

We invited some fish-loving friends over. Since it was so beautiful I just used a tiny bit of soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds.

Seared for about 90 seconds each side. Then I wiped the pan, added butter and minced garlic to make toasts.

We set up an assembly line but I did all the assembly since everyone said “I’ll take the works!”

Tomatoes, peppers, green beans, lettuce, fish and artichoke pesto sauce (applied by the diners).

The works, and yes we ate it all, washed down by a nice sparkling Rosé wine.

Cheers,

Cazalea

I have rarely gotten anything worth keeping, in my few fishing attempts. River salmon in Scotland Rock cod / red snapper in Canada ...

That looks good [nt]
