The 40 is definitely much more dark chocolate and oily.

This is the time to open your best whisky. I love the 105 cask strength and I bought a bottle of the 40 year old on a whim a few years back too - usually far outside my budget, but it was very cheap for the age/quality. Have not opened it up, but, if/when...

This 25 is not as full bodied as even a Macallan 18. But it’s saving grace is the complexity. I could nose this all day. Cheers PAt
