This is the time to open your best whisky.

I love the 105 cask strength and I bought a bottle of the 40 year old on a whim a few years back too - usually far outside my budget, but it was very cheap for the age/quality. Have not opened it up, but, if/when I am ordered to stay home in lockdown, I will open up at least one precious bottle.

12,17,21 or even older ones? The 40 is definitely much more dark chocolate and oily. Cheers PAt

well, my problem with Glenfarclas is the it lacks sufficient viscosity for my taste. its too watery.

I like the oiliness and viscosity of the likes of Glendronach for example. but I can never fault the complexity and the depth of flavour a Glenfarlcas has in the sherry cask territory

This 25 is not as full bodied as even a Macallan 18. But it’s saving grace is the complexity. I could nose this all day. Cheers PAt
