Made a „Zopf“, a traditional Swiss twisted bread for Sunday breakfast.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Looks delicious what do you have with your Zopf ? Today I’m enjoying freshly homemade Sourdough bread for breakfast. ...

Yummie! Great job on the sourdough.

I‘ll just have some butter and salt on the Zopf, alongside a nice scrambled egg. Enjoy!

Thanks, enjoy 🙏 [nt]

That looks exactly like challah!

Is it the same or does it have a similar taste?

I never had challah

Just returned from Israel but never had it. I looked up the recipe though, and it seems to me that challah is sweeter than Zopf. In Zopf there is just one tbsp of sugar while challah contains 100g in the recipe I looked up. Otherwise, it seems quite close...

I see, thanks for the explanation.

There was this bakery where I use to live in the USA that had some of the best challah, I miss it so much :p Your's looks just as amazing! it is very interesting how similar they are, I wonder which was the chicken or the egg?
