For a James Bond wannabe
As a long time fan of the James Bond franchise, I’ve always been fascinated with how a British agent could afford the luxuries in life (even on the Royal purse) - it has gotten a little exaggerated recently.
The newer JB franchise has dressed the agent with luxuries on par with Duke Michael of Kent’s lifestyle, it seems.
Here’s a piece I got today, which is a tribute to the “sensible” era where agents wore Casios and Hamiltons. (Could not get hold of the exact piece which Timothy Dalton wore in The Living Daylights, but it comes close)
This piece was released in 2018 amidst the huge catalogue of Aquaracers. In a subtle way, I think it is a tribute to the piece worn by TD during the Gibraltar chase scene in The Living Daylights.
It’s very light, made in titanium and coated by DLC. I wish they made it smaller, and with an automatic movement though, but this would put it out of the budget of most military defence budgets. So in a sensible way, quartz is a good choice.

Perhaps it’s part of the novels but
was Bonds income “supplemented” by spoils of war? And then there was the personal gambling which I think contributed to his........lifestyle?
Indeed, he liked gambling.
I like the part where he threw a suitcase with a million bucks back to the villian hanging on a rope.

Always though 007 had luxury watches and Roger Moore was the only one with Seiko. Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan the agents with the best watches 😉. Have fun with your new Tag Heuer Aqua racer.

Wish it were smaller. 39-40mm would be nicer on my small bones

Harkens to the time where quartz was all the rage and Tag was in a different identity. I’m still wearing it now, doing house work.
The chrono is breathtaking
What strap is it on? I found the strap for this Aquaracer quite uncomfortable after a few days, and have temporarily swapped it for a nato.
