Here are some answers to your questions
Just have a few questions:
1) Is that 5512 did come with Chronometer certificates because the early ones did have have that written on their dials?
A - Yes that was a distinguishing feature of the 5512 which is COSC unlike the 5513 which is not.
2) All 5513 had chronometer certified so no need for certificate?
A - No the 5513 was non COSC
3) Does your date mean that by 1989 Rolex produced roughly 12million watches?
A - I have no idea as to real production numbers I just did a fun exercise based on serial numbers to evaluate a possible scenario to guess at production and the gilt component.
4) From my understanding 5512 is more rare and sought after, are you a collector of 5512 too? Why so many 5513?
