It's noteworthy when you collect the most quirky Rolex....?

It's rare to witness Rolex being 'playful'......but an intense study of the 'blue-dial' model of the Milgauss is a welcome contrast to their more 'serious' designs which grace my collection...
My original Submariner 1987 Ref 168000
My 40 Rose Gold YachtMaster
And the Rose Gold GMT Master II (the RootBeer)
Rolex never seems to receive enough credit for their Design Department which I believe is at the core of their success......
As an Architect for over 50 years.......I know and appreciate exactly how hard it is to maintain a superlative level of industrial product design, and a careful study of this Milgauss will reward those with an appreciation for such details.
There are literally thousands of combinations of size, proportions, finishes, angles, and thicknesses in the choice of dial, colours, case, lugs, bracelet and clasp....and I can truly say that this Milgauss is as close to faultless in all these areas IMO.
Of course.....the fact that there is no real reason in these times for a specifically 'antimagnetic' watch.....makes its survival dubious?
That would be a pity π’
