A forgotten Datejust.

Datejust has been a bread & butter of Rolex, it started with aN invention of Date change at 12 midnight and later a magnifier lens , they made Rolex famous. The turnograph was created by Rolex for the USA Thunderbird Pilots in 1952, it was essentially a Datejust with a bi-directional bezel. The turning bezel was later used in the famous Rolex Submariner (in 1953) and subsequently GMT Master PamAm (in 1954).
The Turnograph was also copied by many, including one of the best watchmakers Vacheron Constantin. This make the Rolex Turnograph really a classic.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge of TOG, I’m always fond of 6202, and it’s the ultimate TOG for me. The VC TOG is very rare, hope you are able get hold of one. Cheers

My big pleasure Tom!! Glad you like them! Agree with you on the 6202. Regret so much not having that and the VC in my collection.
