It’s interesting

It seems that he used to feel comfortable wearing his sub until they were difficult to buy in-store..

So, it was a tool watch until they became difficult to buy, at which point it became a luxury watch.....

I agree with you though - wear what makes you comfortable.

Cheers

Just wear it like it’s meant to be. Life is too short to worry about the small stuff.

It’s interesting

This makes me laugh. I think the opposite

I was very fortunate to acquire a GMT LN 116710 from an AD about a month ago. I know it’s worth a lot more than the retail price I paid. I have worn it every single day since I got it, including sleeping and showering. Lol Exact opposite point of view to ...

I wear my Rolex the same way as you do....

But I’ve noticed that some people simply cannot accept a nick or scratch on their Rolex watches..... It’s hard to wear them everyday and not have them show signs or daily wear and tear...

Like many of us, I’ve worn Rolex watches for almost 30 years

In my experience, even with the 6 digit references, the heads of Rolex watches show minimal wear absent an accident or really hard contact with metal. The new PCL bracelets are a different story, but a bracelet can be easily polished or replaced. Precious...

If he just discovered that Rolex was a high end brand he should consider what he paid.

His arguments sound like self flagellation. Making excuses as to why he is not worthy and he may hurt others if they see his Rolex. If he wants a tool watch get a $200 watch. Enjoy your watches not for what they cost but for their worth to you. Cost is wh...

He's a little apologetic and hesitant ...

... but his points are valid and understandable. His first comment related to the difficulty of replacing a stainless steel Rolex in the current environment is less persuasive, at least to me. If we're honest with ourselves, however, many of us can relate...

Security is whole other issue whether you are in London Paris Rome or New York a Rolex can attract unwanted attention.

You always have to be aware of your surroundings no matter what you are wearing.

Wear the watches you own, sell the watches you don’t wear.

I wear minute repeaters or platinum watches as I wear my Sub. I take care of them, trying not to ruin them. If I wasn’t comfortable wearing a watch in my collection, I‘d sell it the next day. Best, Daniel

Agreed. [nt]

I’d wear what I am comfortable with

But to some extent, the surroundings and context will have to be considered as well. No place to behave like a hero when you know you can invite trouble.

Why did he make this video - for us - or to profile himself?

Surely we know this already. For someone who rides bike to work every day and experienced horrific crashes (to the watches, including a Sea Dweller) he must be lucky to have a sound, or a sane, bone in his body. Go for a G-Shock! What's the point here? I ...
