Resurrection

My first “real” watch was an IWC 3741
For those not familiar it’s an early 90’s model, a Mecaquartz with a 233 piece JLC 631 movement.
Sadly it stopped working a while ago and after some enquiries only IWC would touch it. I was very much in two minds about spending so much on a watch that on a cost / reward basis was a “write off” in car terms.
However I couldn’t let it go to the spare parts scrap heap and bit the bullet. These have been creeping up in value and that many continue (slowly) as others meet their maker (or rather don’t).
Anyway, it needed a thorough service, and I also got a very light polish and re-luming, and now have probably one of the best examples of this 90’s classic which lives on after it’s near death experience.
I’m very happy to have it back!
