SS Cosmopolite with blue sunburst dial.

Looks handsome in the rendering, and the arguably more sporty style makes some sense, given the watch's gargantuan dimensions.


I do miss those gorgeous blued steel hands, though!

Would have preferred white metal poire hands, as in the blue dial Senator Chronometer, but I guess they were going for "sporty" here with the lume and bracelet. 🧐 [nt]

The feuille hands on the home time subdial also look funny with the central handset. They might be better if they, too, were angular and dabbed with lume. (But who am I to criticize?)

I think this may be my favorite version of the Cosmopolite.

To be sure, the original models in the gold cases are truly stunning and classic, and benefit from a splash of color on the day/night indicator. (The steel version lacks this splash of color, and therefore appears a bit stark to me). I love the blue dial ...
