Similar to a Tavannes that I owned last time were powered by Valjoux 22 movement and they both has the same Clamshell case..

In the grand scheme of things, these aren't bad date / day-date windows, compared to two Zenith watches that I have, both with questionable date windows at 4.30 and 6.
Then again, I agree that the symmetry of OP's watches is lovely. I recently bought Dan Henry's 1937 no date (black/gilt) because I like that look so much. He does a good job of simulating it too.
