When I was on my Way to buy the new Tudor Bronze

Always had mixed emotions about this MK40.
The many colors ... a bit too much. Black, white, blue, grey, red, yellow
The size .. ONLY 39 and I do prefer the 42 mm professional speedmaster
Automatic while I do prefer  manual winding

On the other hand all the colors do make it pretty cool, the 39mm well I won't wear it every day, the automatic ... all My Rolexes and Tudors are automatic
And the extra complications like day, date, month, day and night indicator plus of course the chronograph
Well looking at the average market price (which went up a little because of that Hodinkee LE) ... and seeing it 'available' in front of me I just had to buy it smile

55 serial numer so made in 1995

FYI

and some close ups

and off topic but that was the Tudor I went for   .... unfortunately I came across this Omega too and went home with 2 watches

Good hunting on these two pieces!

Back in the late 90s I nearly bought this, in fact, ordered it in for approval at the AD, but in the end plumped for a Speedmaster Pro because of the illegibility of the chrono seconds track. All it need was lengthened seconds tick marks. Rapwatch

The number engraved on the back isn't a movement number, Bruno . . .

. . . so the chart info doesn't really apply. I remember seeing these on dealer's shelves over twenty years ago, so a '95 production date isn't impossible, but it would be coincidental. The numbers engraved on the back represent the case, or serial, numbe...
