Girard Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon with Spinel Bridges. A picture and some press material.

In 2012, Girard Perregaux unveiled this marvel, associating the strong look of the Laureato case to the refinement of a Tourbillon, with a special feature, spinel bridges... All of that for a superb and bewitching result.

Here is the picture you certainly have seen:

The pictures I could take at the SIHH, in 2012:

And as an extra bonus, the official documents on this watch:

Spinel has been very rarely used in horology. Which is sad, as I find this gemstone very beautiful.

I would well see it associated to a tantalum case...

Enjoy.

Spinel reminds me of glass and makes the watch very sci-fi

Nevertheless it looks impressive , and a good looking watch. Thanks for sharing

The color of the spinel just works well with the case color..

Also adds a certain magical depth to the dial. I think we have a member or poster here who has one! Plus how cool is that to have a 3 bridges in a sporty iteration.. of course thereโ€™s no such thing as a bad looking 3 bridges

Didnt know about this GP .
