Correct me if I am wrong...
Question: What is the correct way to write "10 MB" in French?
Answer: 10 MO (MB - Megabytes) or 80 Mo (Mb - Megabites)
6 Mo=0.75 MB=750 kilobytes
3 Mo=0.375 MB=375 kilobytes
Not huge files... if on the other hand the real world convention is to write 6 MB as 6 Mo (and 3 MB as 3 Mo) then still not huge, but "respectable".
I have rased the "compression" issue with tech support, so while waiting for their reply lets "assume" that the resizing in pixels is to 1280 px on the longest side (more testing required). This gives us a resized photo of:
15509 x 3018 px (original) -> 1280 x 249 px (resized) which matches the downloaded file size[1].
What is not clear (yet) is why the two original files (MO or Mo) of 1:2 disk size ratio are compressed to approximately the same disk size[1].
