Finallly, an opportunity to see the 2019 Novelties!
Air Command:
As soon as I saw Henrik's post on May 17th, I immediately called the NYC Boutique and placed my name on the list for the Barakuda. However, the more photos I saw of the Air Command, the more I started to question my decision. Three weeks later, after an agonizing internal debate, I decided to call the Boutique and request they transfer my deposit to the Air Command - fortunately!
I'm on vacation this week in NYC. So, the first priority for the week was to visit the Boutique. It's never easy making these decision when you have not seen these beauties in the flesh. Thankfully, they still had the prototypes. Without a doubt, I made the right decision. The Air Command is a phenomenal piece. I simply could not put it down!
I know the rotor gives some people heartburn. But, I really love this feature. As an added bonus, you get a better view of the movement. Overall, this is truly outstanding Tribute piece!
Barakuda:
Now, don't get me wrong. I still love the Barakuda! Once again, this is another truly outstanding Tribute piece. But, I simply could not put the Air Command down. Even when I tried the Barakuda on, it felt like my eyes were being seized by the Air Command. I just kept glazing at it.
Blancpain did an amazing job this year! I'm looking forward to my first Blancpain - hopefully, not my last!

... and I made the same ;-) Although I must confess that I still contemplate the Barakuda in addition to the Air Command 😇 Cheers Henrik
Top watches, two winners
I prefer the AirCommand as well. The Blancpain Boutique in München told me, that the delivery will be later as planed without telling a congrete date. Best regards Stephan
Not surprised. . .
I ordered the Trilogy Speedy the day it was announced. Never heard a word until I finally received it November ‘17. So, Swatch has ‘trained’ me to be patient! The worst part was that I never saw a Trilogy Speedy until about two weeks before I received me....
Same as you, I was mesmerized by the Air Command and gave my name to my AD...
The only difficult part will be when/if I get an Air Command, to decide if I also keep my Breguet 3817 Type XXI which is a similar type of watch! I guess I will cross that bridge when I cross that bridge!
Still amazing
It still amazes me how the air command on the one hand has all so much similarities to the FF yet such a different (and strong) character
Strap
I see the Barakuda is still displayed with the canvas strap and not with the tropical one. Does anyone know why?
