I love (almost) everything about it...

...the one and only update I would wish for is to make it manual wind.

If I'm honest with myself when I look to purchase a nice chronograph, it's not for the ease of daily use via an automatic movement and to 'time things'.  It's for the enjoyment of, and interaction with the watch and viewing the intricacies of the movement.  And this is a watch I wouldn't mind winding every day.  I understand the appeal of an automatic movement with a date or calendar function, but not a chronograph.

But I nitpick as it's a beautiful watch that I would love to own.

Kind regards,
Dan

The Audemars Piguet [Re]master01. The case is 40mm and is made from stainless steel and pink gold. The movement is a Selfwinding Chronograph from the Code 11:59 and production will be limited to 500 pieces. Personally, I particularly like the “Audemars Pi...

It is a piece I like a lot but I would have preferred a handwind movement.

Especially with such prominent winding mass. Thanks! Fx

I completely agree with you...

I wish that AP could give this watch the manual movement that it deserves along with a decent name.

But hey, this is an AP that is not that 15202 and that I actually like. Who knew?

...but I will agree that a manual wind would have been more 'true' to a sporty chronograph and would probably have made the watch thinner. 38mm also would have been nice. Maybe a bit more contrast between the dial and the hour/minute hands? And for this p...

beautiful watch but I hate mixed metal

Manual would make it even more perfect

Manual movement would have been better

The fact that AP chose an automatic movement highlights to me that they have become, at heart, focused on sport watches. It’s a great dial, in my opinion, but the dimensions and movement seem inconsistent with a vintage chronograph. I guess that’s why I g...

AP seems lost as a company. [nt]
