I'm 100% impressed and awestruck by these new JLC releases. I was never a big fan of the Compressor range, but these watches have changed all that.
To those who complain about the size: get a life. Just because you think 46mm is too big for you, does that mean no-one else is allowed to have one? These are sports watches. Sports watches are bigger than dress watches. Unlike some other oversized watches, even the air inside the Extreme's case is there for a good reason. These designs are Bauhaus in action: form follows function.
In one fell swoop, JLC have gone from a chrono-challenged manufacture to the leading chrono manufacture. Nothing else compares to these watches. And they have Autotractor movements! As of this moment, I am saving up for a Master Compressor Chronograph in rose gold.
Jaw, you have outdone yourself with this latest series of essays, which is beautifully laid out, and comprehensive in its coverage of all the stylistic, technical and practical information relating to this seminal release from JLC. Thank you! May I just point out one tiny nitpick: judging by the strap, photograph no. 8 of part 7 is incorrectly labelled as rose gold when it is in fact a photo of the stainless steel version.
