Some pictures of the Jaeger Lecoultre Duometre à Spherotourbillon.

This is one of the watches I had the pleasure to attend its making of.

Still, it is not my favorite Duometre.

The good / remarkable points?

It is a Duometre, with a tourbillon turning on different axes which is always magical, with a cylindric hair spring, which adds to the magic, and a GMT.

Another very important point is that it has a great level of finishings.

Now the less good point, for me, is that all these technology and horological skills let me cold...

The hole at 9 o clock ruins the dial, for me, at least, and it is to clinical.

On the road from Vegas to L.A... It was a memorable moment, as I confused miles per hour with kilometers per hour... smile

For the moment, my favorite Duometre are the Chronograph, the UTT and the Quantième Lunaire Enamel, in this order.

Your thoughts?

Best,

Nicolas

I cannot judge on this impressive JLC as I am not firm with the brand at all

But I support your view on technological extremes within wrist watches. To me, double tourbs etc don't appeal - I rather enjoy the finish and the possibility to see the architecture of the technology (i.e. open case-backs with unhindered sight into the wa...

Please excuse my fat finger.🧐

This is my favourite duometre by far and I. would not hesitate in ordering one if it was priced half as much! I don't even mind the hole at 9 o'clock because the view of the rotating tourbillon is a sight to behold. For me, this is JLC at its best. And if...

Agreed, not my favorite Duometre, however...

I'm also in the chrono Duo camp. That being said, the the spherotourb with the massive bridge is something to look at in wonder. For a brand that has a firm stake in the Reverso, an otherwise seemingly classic, yet simple watch, JLC has the chops to routi...

Not my favorite Duometre either but I do like it for what it is and represents. As for the cut-out in the dial, that does not bother me as much as it does you mon ami...

The Hybris Mechanica Grand Sonnerie also has a cut-out in the dial and I think that watch is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous 💥😜🔥

Ok if you would have used these 2 originally then J would have agreed with you as the MMR Ti and Gyro 1 would make an unbelievable pair...

If I had to make a random pick of 6 spectacular JLC pieces (not including a Reverso) it would be: Gyro 5 Gyro 1 Gyro 3 Duometre Grand Sonnerie Duometre Chronograph MMR or GT MR Ti Voilà 😉

Here we are agreed once again frérot 😉
