Jaeger Lecoultre Master Compressor Extreme Lab One. An Extreme Dream.

 By: amanico : September 21st, 2020-23:59
The Sea Snake of the Compressor Line. A guess estimate would lead me to think that circa 50 were made. Most probably a bit less. The " Oil Free " watch, by JLC. There are few chances you can see one " in the wild ". Yes, a dream, a fantasy. Best, Nicolas ...

Very cool one.

I remember panerai also producing an oil free watch with a 50yrs warranty ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Totally oil free? [nt]

My absolute favorite watch all brands included. Watches like this made JLC my most loved watch brand. Time for an new EL3.I hope JLC read us. Best Yannis

Every time JLC announces something new I always think that this will be the time for a new more affordable version of the Extreme Lab.

at your words โ€˜oil freeโ€™. This is remarkable. Oil free running of a mechanical movement. Waauw. Beside of this, the watch looks stunning also.

Thanks, Weems. [nt]

This was such a cool era from JLC.

+1, especially 2007! [nt]

Saw that piece when it was first released and was truly stunned!

A high Tech piece for sure. If my memory serves well, even the Titanium alloy used by JLC is a TiVan 15%. A very hard metal Used for maximum scratch and wear/tear resistance.

Thanks ,Ted. [nt]

I'm not holding my breath that I'll ever see one. M4

My recollection is that the EL1 is a more manageable size, perhaps 41mm? [nt]

 By: M4 : September 22nd, 2020-12:14
The EL2 is very cool, but quite large I believe. M4

45 mm from memory. [nt]

 By: amanico : September 22nd, 2020-14:52

Definitely one of JLC's greatest!

 By: jleno : September 22nd, 2020-16:02
Very unfortunate that this tech hasn't found its way into more watches, especially considering this was released over a decade ago. Is there a particular reason it's so hard to produce an oil-free watch?

The EL1 is a true legend ๐Ÿ™Œ [nt]
