Every time JLC announces something new I always think that this will be the time for a new more affordable version of the Extreme Lab.

at your words ‘oil free’. This is remarkable. Oil free running of a mechanical movement. Waauw. Beside of this, the watch looks stunning also.
Saw that piece when it was first released and was truly stunned!
A high Tech piece for sure. If my memory serves well, even the Titanium alloy used by JLC is a TiVan 15%. A very hard metal Used for maximum scratch and wear/tear resistance.
Definitely my favorite in the Compressor line and perhaps my favorite JLC.

My recollection is that the EL1 is a more manageable size, perhaps 41mm? [nt]

Very unfortunate that this tech hasn't found its way into more watches, especially considering this was released over a decade ago. Is there a particular reason it's so hard to produce an oil-free watch?
