Let's recall that a Valjoux 222 is a Valjoux 22 with a Fly Back. 


Nicely decorated gilt movement, too.

a beauty for sure. Just thinking out loud… Isn't it very uncommon and does it not defy logic to have a Côtes de Genève finish with a gilt mise-en-couleur? Do you know of more examples? Do you think this might be an afterthought? I mean not original to the...

... that sapphire case backs were present 50 years ago commonly! So many vintage pieces of beautiful vintage movement that cannot be seen day to day

Bof... No real need of a sapphire case back. If you want to see the movement, just open the case back.
