Racing Colours - Red or Green? Does it make a difference in look?

GRAND CARRERA CALIBRE 17 RS2 & CALIBRE 8 RS GMT (Singapore GP Edition)

Last 3 days posted the prototype of the Singapore GP edition with British Racing Green colour scheme.

Now will show the chilly Hot screaming RED colour scheme of the Cal 17 RS2 (prototype).

You tell me which model you like at the end of the read smile

OK... lights up .............

GRAND CARRERA collection

This model has a suffix of '2' after the RS - Rotating System...what does it mean?

Firstly there is already  an existing similar model.  Reading through the press material, this Cal 17 RS 2 Chronograph
(a 2008 Pre Basel collection)  casing is of material Titanium Grade 2.
The case is further protected by a black titanium carbide treatment.

A question I would like to ask.... why only  Ti Grade 2 and 5 are used?  When to use Grade 2 or 5?

The small seconds at 3 o’clock and chronograph minute counter at 9 o’clock.

Initially, I need to get use to readout the timing...after a while, got the hang of it.

The full matte finish (including the croc-straps) focus the emphasis on the dial.

Dashes of red colour on the straps, bezel, hand, markers and crown break the monotony of all black and
give the watch a refreshing touch.  Somehow a little touch of red changes the character of the piece.

A side view ...crown and pushers are matte-finished too.

Another surprise....the full stunning red-backing of the straps with a full black caseback.

Latest news, this piece will not be a limited edition.

It is comfortable to wear...just soft.
According to the press material it is a 'soft touch coating'. Strange description, I guessed it a rubber-based and
should be hypoallergenic.  Besides it protects the croc-straps from the perspiration... relevant for a sports watch.

Deployant with release button is also of Titanium ...but not coated to have a black colour...it will be nice if can selectively
black titanium carbide treated leaving the logo as it is now.

A wristshot .

Back to the question... Do you prefer the RED or GREEN colour scheme?
