Sometimes it is a strategic step taken to make the company stronger albeit at the expense of the creditors and the shareholders.

Some other independents are staying very strong, with delivery times in the months or even years.

Hope there will be no big names within these 33 companies. But any watch company that’s going under is a loss for us imho

Brands like Pequignet and Leroy are perpetually on the edge of bankruptcy and will likely fail.

They even told me they are looking to add another watchmaker to the team. Thankfully some independents are doing well, despite the health crisis.

There might be investors picking it up at a discount. It could be a way to get rid of debt and start afresh. Hopefully the skills remain saved for the industry. And for those owning one, I hope the movement is built in such a way that well trained watchma...
