Since platinum is en vogue

I thought I would share some thoughts on the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Platinum:

I had to opportunity to have an extended look at a very competitively priced one recently. Comfort on the wrist was sublime, partly due to the curved and tapered leather strap. Despite its diminutive size, the crown was easy to use and the integrated power reserve indicator on the back highlighted attention to details. The finishing of the movement was very good, I enjoyed it very much but sadly forgot to take a photo! The biggest surprise was the weight, or the lack thereof. The very thin case with two large sapphires and the manual movement somewhat completely cancelled the weight of the platinum case. In summary, I thought it was a watch of many contrasts, probably one that would end up taking a lot of wrist time thanks to its superlative comfort while nobody would ever know you're rocking a platinum case.

....especially when it comes in such a refined piece as this stunning, stealthy Octo! Thanks for sharing this version with us. I like it a lot, in its pure, under-the-radar way. Cheers, Daniel

I like the shapes of this watch.

What’s this got to do with Gerald Genta?

I’m presuming you’re already familiar with the fact that he was never involved in any of the Bvlgari Octo designs.

Sorta-kinda indirectly I think.

This is what he did back in the day. Bulgari drew on his DNA IMHO ...

Thank you

I would not reply our friend, everybody knows LVMH bought Gerald Genta rights for using the design for Bvlgari watches. Actually the RO is mother of all.

Nothing gets past you!
