Some candy for the eyes: Longines 13 ZN Cream Dial, Mushrooms pushers.

The train has long gone with this reference. Years have passed, and it is now almost impossible to find and fund one as nice as this 13 ZN: Everything is magic here. From the patina of the dial, the dial itself, the step bezel, the pushers. A good example...

Wow. That is gorgeous!

Thanks for posting. Once again I'm late to the party.

A masterpiece of watch design.

In my humble opinion I can't think of many mid-century steel cases executed more perfectly than this reference not even from Patek (except perhaps for the unique 1526 that belonged to Briggs Cunningham II). Baruch

And the Nato strap with those colors enhances the whole watch. Too good!

I’m glad then I’ve kept my Grandfather’s 12.68z

Yes I did..It seems vintage chronographs are becoming increasingly collectible. I’m glad I didn’t sell this one.

I thought so! As for having it serviced, the last time I checked . . .

. . . parts are still available for this movement on eBay and elsewhere, so if you already have a trusted watchmaker, then no need to send it to Longines. Art

Au contraire, dear Dr No

I always strongly advise having one’s pride Longines possession and especially 13ZNs, Weems, Lindbergh and the like being sent to and serviced by Longines in St-Imier and this for many different reasons. Here are just a few. Firstly is is a unique occasio...

. . . of your vast experience, Z. For Omega guys like myself, we'd rather go to the dentist than send our precious vintages to their service department.

For those in the know. that famous "C" of antimagnetic... :-}

I remember that i said to myself when i started collecting 13ZNs that the window for finding those wouldn't last long. And indeed now it is nearly impossible to find round pusher 13ZNs, let alone Mushroom Pushers. Thanks for posting best Z'
