Sometimes I fiddle with this when bored

It looks and functions like those fidget spinners.

I like the reassurance of the lug design, because it has to be screwed in, instead of the ubiquitous springbar. Wish they made more watches with screwed in bars - the FF from Blancpain comes to mind.

Wish Peter Speake were still in his namesake company. The new collab with Frederique Constant is nice.

Maybe one day, I’d seek out another piece from PSM.

Always good to see Peter Speake love here. And the "topping tool" logo.

Image my surprise when I bought my Resilience used, and found it was the one used in their advertising. And the "Topping Tool" on the Spirit model turns like a second hand. ...

Love the foundation hands

And the beautiful seconds wheel! Wow!! The foundation hands look fantastic when lumed. I much prefer that.

A similar thing happened with my wife’s watch

We bought this piece pre-owned, only to discover it was the one used by Hodinkee for their “3 on 3” article comparing 3 Indies (Sarpaneva and Habring² being the others) for under $15k ...

Ooooooooooooooo If I had that piece, maybe I’d wear it for 15 days a month, and even forget to take it off when sleeping. Was this a difficult piece to get back then?

I was perusing the Naked Watchmaker today and noticed that Peter has left that venture as of July1st.

One can only hope he will start up another watchmaking company in the near future.
