Do not buy Schofield brand watch straps

Went kayaking. Strap broke while rowing- not even wet.
Spent next hour back paddling and diving.
I thought I had unclasped the watch by accident or the pin came out. No it was just a cheaply glued watch strap.

So Much for Giles Ellis and his “thoughtful design”.

Did you ask him to fix it ? I have had 6, or maybe 7 straps come part like that doing all sorts of things or perhaps nothing physical at all. From name brands and no name. All adhesives have a limit. Even through-stitching is no guarantee. You’re very luc...

I won this watch in a fishing tournament so it has sentimental value. It’s a strangely designed watch.

That said, this can and does happen with many straps depending on their age. Even stitching weakens and rots. Not defending this brand of strap, I have no experience or knowledge of it, but I've had it happen before with straps that had been worn for a co...
