Last day on the sea

First day on the wrist UR 103-05

Thank you Urwerk for making this happen to horology. (And to me BTW.) Such energetic creation- extra-ordinary

Fully electrical, such a peaceful ride. We are having second thoughts now about letting her go.

Thanks Champ! I might end up following the most common advise on this forum beeing:

Keep them both! BTW there is no relation between the 2. It just happened on the same day that we did the photoshoot for the boat sale and the UR coming in.

Beautiful...

Hehehe, I was wondering...

...what you were meaning with "saying goodbye to one automotive machine and hello to another" When I saw the photos then I understood how true it is Indeed it must be hard to let it go... I am used to say "choosing is renouncing" but a friend of mine rece...

Actually it is true...

This is how a friend of mine recently bought two SD Comex ! He was investigating to get one and there was two great options. He could not choose among the two so he took both. 😂🤣

This is exactly it ;-)

Thanks for the advice Mike.

The 2 are not related but we just haven’t used the boat enough to justify the wood maintenance time and harbour fees. In a city that is quite something! Cheers man!

I can easily understand...

C'est la vie, and you obviously found a nice compensation (even if the two are not related I got it ).

👍😉 [nt]

Very nice!

Nice watch and boat! I'm surprised your son is allowing you to let go of the boat!

You’re right

 By: jlc.thomsen : June 29th, 2020-23:42
But we had a pact to spend max time on the boat to justify all the work. We just havn’t been able to keep our promises at all. It’s not the time and money as such, but the fact that no one is enjoying the vintage beauty enough on the other end.

Ahh, that's true!

I know exactly where you're coming from. I have too many watches, almost all go unworn. Even having just two cars is difficult to drive them both! Having a boat that's unused for half the year and seldomly used for the 4-6 months of good weather is diffic...

Many congratulations on the Urwerk, a true marvel which looks perfectly at home on your wrist.

Can’t comment on the boat, but it looks cool and seems like a great escape if time permits.

Thanks for your nice words Jay.

Now time to tuck her away for the summer break already ( the spaceship I mean). Not really a beach watch is she?

Haha, probably not. [nt]
