Inspiration for this Habring2

Nov 10, 2019,07:22 AM

When I first notice this Habring piece, I was very drawn by it. It feels familiar but I can't figure out where I have seen it. After some research, I think know where Shellman got their inspiration from.

The case proportion is very similar to Roger Smith Series 2 , especially from the early 38mm production. My attached visual  (courtesy of Gary G) is 40mm and later production but still look very similar.

The numeral of this Habring looks very similar to Patek 5959 which is also a monopusher. I think that's one big reason I was very drawn to this piece smile

I think this is a vintage style which is quite popular in the past? Keep seeing such aesthetics appearing in watches for the past few years. In fact the MB Villeret Vintage Pulsographe is in the same vein too. ...

Wowowow....
