Annals of Vacheron & Constantin: 1914 to 1938 - Final Episode

Jan 24, 2023,21:19 PM

I'm back at home base and can offer you this final episode of the last chapter in Vacheron & Constantin's historic Annales, ending at their merger with Jaeger-LeCoultre.  Knowledge of the brand's history is one step on the road to connoisseurship, though perhaps the most important if I may indulge my personal prejudice.  I hope you've found this series, and numerous others dedicated to VC's storied past, as enjoyable to read as they were to write.  Best Wishes for 2023, Dean

Postscript: The Jules Weiss Foundation was placed into liquidation in 2022 by parent company Vacheron Constantin.  Its mission was: "promote the technical studies of young people who are destined for watchmaking, as well as the training and development of workers, administrative, sales and production employees, with the idea of providing the Geneva watchmaking factory, and especially Vacheron & Constantin SA, an ever more qualified staff."
