Marathon of the Crown
For all the pandemic I have not worn my beloved GMT Perpetual. A few days ago, I retrieved it from the bank vault to wear it through this New Year's eve.The dial showed January 27, 2020, so nearly three years separated the watch and today.
So I started to whirl the crown, not overly fast, in order not to damage something in the geartrain, but also not too slow - I did not plan to spend the entire afternoon setting the perpetual calendar. Despite a small handicap - I have a small knifecut on my index finger's tip, so this could not used for winding the crown, I needed exactly five minutes and 26 seconds to completely set the correct time and date on the GMT Perpetual. This, dear Ladies and Gentlemen, is a good movement construction!

I just forwarded mine from August to December a couple minutes
I can contrast that with the amount of time it takes to reset the IWC perpetual - much longer, but I think that's because I got warned not to go crazy turning it, in case something goes awry, or you go too far, it's a $1000 repair... at least with the UN ...
My Acqua Perpetual only is three months behind ...
... and due to its larger crown, also is quicker to be set than my classic GMT Perpetual. Marcus

And this RG version with this very harmonious dial is tasteful and … timeless. A marvel. Many of us know how underrated UN is. I am waiting for the next „big release“ that … flashes me. Then I will probably pull the trigger. All the best and wear this gem...

Watch winders: No running, no wear
I have been through that. First, I have too many watches for winders, and second, running movements have wear, which means shorter service intervals. Marcus
