Was there a different case? I believe it is unchanged although the concentric dial rings have gone from blue to black with the move from cloisonné to enamel painting.

Change to the equator ring size with the revised enamel painting and dragon hand green to blue.

Hi All, my PuristS friend allowed me to put his Tellurium on my wrist ! I felt so honored to have worn it, especially given that it is a complicated...

GRAIL !!! Enamel world dial, with so many romantic complications, is simply so lovely ! What do you think 🤔 of this watch ? ...

or the book The Trilogy of Time written by our own Dr. Marcus Hanke here...

It is a great book.

A very under rated watch!

No one actually needs a Tellerium especially when one has a small wrist!! Lovely watch to look at though

Who doesn’t? ;-) [nt]

Setting the piece is always such a joy.

A well spent 15mins on a Sunday morning. The Tellurium always surprises and can hold it’s own in any company. ...

Amazing sight!

It clearly holds its ground against the the wonderful Patek. Congratulations on such a master piece. And thank you for the wonderful pictures!

I love it. The trilogy of time

is still one of my aspirational goals. Such an intellectual and aesthetic achievement! Andreas

An all time favorite

for me. A Ludwig masterpiece! If you know someone who "doesn't get" mechanical watches show them this... if they still "don't get it" they never will. The dawn-dusk line indicator is insane!

+1 [nt]

That is a watch I have been looking in to lately ...

 By: ChristianDK : August 11th, 2019-13:45
in my research on Ludwig Oechslin. The dial and complication are wonderful. The case is perhaps not ‘in vogue’ at the moment. With awatch like this that’s unimportant. This type of watch is certainly not for everyone.. It’s a connoisseurs watch and a damn...

I agree that the case is not the biggest asset of this watch...

 By: amanico : August 11th, 2019-13:50
But I think that there was an even more outdated case, before, if my memory serves me well... ...

It’s a package

From a certain period, perhaps not distant enough from the present? It is done with skill and taste. So, for me it is not so important. Perhaps we one day will see it differently? I have in my watch box,a IWC Porsche design compas watch that I bought in 2...

Same, yes!

When you play this league such issues are not important. No design is truly timeless. It’s more a question of good or bad work.

I thought you were talking about the Tellurium

 By: russell996 : August 12th, 2019-10:09
That’s an Astrolabium

I believe there was originally a version without cloisonné in Yellow gold or Rose gold

 By: russell996 : August 12th, 2019-10:20
This had a stencil outline of the earth from above. I have the brochures for this model and the case appears to be the same as the version with cloisonné. Platinum version only had cloisonné I believe until the enamel painted version cane out.

I was under the impression the case has been modernized at a certain moment... But I can be wrong.

I am still fascinated by the fact that the 2892 is able to supply this mechanical piece of art ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : August 22nd, 2019-00:28
... with enough energy. When the Trilogy was designed, only a few base movements were available, and after a thorough evaluation, during which one movement literally dissolved itself, only the ETA proved to be strong enough - better than the 2824, as Dr. ...

What is interesting to me is if I put my Tellurium and 5711 on a winder, the Tellurium requires less winding. (bi-directional v's uni-directional?)

So time and date piece versus many complications, does show the 2892 is a power house.

This fact is a ...
