Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton X Magma.

Here are two hi resolution pictures I received a few days ago, about this all fresh Executive Skeleton X Magma.

A 43 mm case, a blend of carbon fiber and red marbled epoxy, hence the Magma name.

X, because of the 4 long and red indices, joining the rectangle at the center of the dial.

The grey hands are filled with luminova.

Other than the spectacular case, the other main interest of this watch is its manual winding movement, the Cal UN 371, with its escape wheel and anchor in silicon.

Now the question is: Daring, or too trendy, this watch?

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

One might wonder...

... whether creations like this one are made for photo studio renderings only... way too much Hublot style in this UN for my taste. Also, how does this openworked watch with a bright red color actually look on a wrist? I think, no, I know that Ulysse Nard...

Well, it’s certainly daring and not for me.

Dare I say that the use of the coloured epoxy stuff just, IMHO, makes it look a bit cheap? Regards Kev.

I was considering the executive skeleton carbon...

But this has turned my head. I haven’t managed to see either in the flesh yet so will have to wait until then. Any indication on when [if] the Magma will be available?

No idea, sorry. [nt]
