which encompasses a variety of subject matter, still I try to give myself the freedom to utilize unfamiliar styles.
A photographer who is always in focus, well exposed, following composition rules or variations on a rule might have a difficult time with artists like Daidō Moriyama or the style of a Bruce Gilden... the artistic style of a Norman Rockwell might not appeal to current photogs and forget about the images of Nathaniel Currier & his business partner James Merritt Ives.
Photo workshops almost always preach that one must develop their own 'style'... there are pros and cons to that approach. At the same time we tend to shoot in similar ways based on history and where we are at in that moment... we find our own approach to photography.
The trick might be to break away, try something different... yet remain true to our inherent approach.

If you saw a photo and didn’t know who posted it, would you be able to guess which were mine?
