Red Wattled Lapwing

Feb 16, 2021,04:57 AM

Last Monday I was playing golf and since the course was almost empty, I brought my camera. You never know what might cross your path.

It must have been instinct because at hole 17 near the lake, I noticed a bird I had never seen before our here.

Had to look it up and if I have spotted it well it is a so-called Red Wattled Lapwing (for Dutch speakers aka Indiase Kievit).

Was able to take a few snapshots as it was marching proudly on the t box

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Ps shot with 300 mm f/4 lens, shutter at 1/2500 iso at 100 aperture wide open at f/4
