of course; it is never flamboyant in its manifestations. Important photographs are invisible to anyone in a hurry. The fact is that we no longer know how to look properly. We process an average of 25 images a second. But which of us spends 25 seconds looking at a single image?" by Bernard Cuau

The above quote is from the introduction to "Josef Koudelka - Photofile" by Bernard Cuau (1935-1995), born in Boulogne-sur-Seinein, he was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Les Temps modernes, a lawyer, journalist, and film critic.

That quote was shared with me on social media by a good friend and fellow photographer... he graciously agreed when I asked him if I could use it. Obviously the book looks very interesting... Casey

Very cool photo...

looks like an alien world...the lens flare actually adds to the ‘feel.’

Thank you mdg...

The photo was taken when I was working at a residential group home in Alberta, Canada. We had taken the kids for a couple of days hike and overnight at a remote cabin in the mountains south of Calgary. The camera was the Pentax Spotmatic F using Kodachrom...

Thanks Nico...

Sort of. Sweet!

I don't have cable, so I haven't seen Game of Thrones...

the connection eludes me ; ) Casey

There was a giant ice wall and a huge snowy expanse north of it where Wildlings lived.

It was central to the plot. Your photo reminded me of numerous episodes showing the wall and people looking like ants as they approached it.

Thanks ;)

I haven't seen any US TV for years... except during flights or short visits, and even then not much... rather watch the sunset and talk. Can't say that I miss it. When I lived in LA we use to go to the movies every week, now maybe once a year. Casey
