New Mexico has a variety of different landscape... something for everyone.  I love the mountain view, but this area is "not bad"...

Thanks for looking,
Casey

Don't see too much of Adams work in Santa Fe

 By: cshimokita : November 8th, 2018-23:24
there are some photographers working but lots of painting, pottery, jewelry, and things New Mexico. There are 800 real estate brokers in the area and I spend some time looking at some of my friend's listings and/or recently sold property... there are so m...

Bill... I was thinking more along the lines of Georgia O'Keeffe...

But I hear you... Hernandez, NM is a few miles north and one of my favorite Adams photographs. Casey

Your choice of B&W is intriguing.

I imagine the landscape to be rather monochromatic. If that's right, then you lose nothing in potential drama by going with monochrome, and heighten the dark and light areas as a result. I think.

DruidPadj... I shot 50/50 b&w / color...

There is beautiful color in NM... the aspens were just turning golden down along the Rio Grande... We might see some color as I scan the remaining rolls. I could just as well shot all color ; ) Casey

All rather excellent.

The ones I'd frame are the second and last image . Cheers, Filip

The last is also a favorite...

Thanks Filip... it's only about 45 minutes south of Santa Fe but already very different landscape. Typical of the area between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Bandelier National Monument over in the direction of Los Alamos is a must see... I was there last visi...

Excellent

The second and last were taken from the same bench that you see in the first photo... low afternoon sun, enjoying some time on the patio before heading back toward the mountains... the only thing that compares to the views is the food ; ) Casey

Great photos Casey.. [nt]

Sometimes no choice but to peak ahead at the negatives ; ) Thanks for the comment. Casey

I am scanning more as we speak ; )

Everytime I see shots like that, makes me want to book another trip to New Mexico. White Sands National Monument remains on my list of places to visit that I have not got a chance on my trips to New Mexico. Have to plan that in for the next trip there. Je...

Over due

 By: Jurry : November 10th, 2018-02:09
Such a visit is long over due but it’s a long way from Dubai where I currently live.

Well, when the time is right ; )

 By: cshimokita : November 10th, 2018-09:29
From the photos I have seen, Dubai would be an interesting destination as well. Casey

Interesting?

 By: Jurry : November 10th, 2018-19:44
Interesting is very understated. those who come here for the first time, re typically overwhelmed. That’s including those who have travelled the world and think they’ve seen it all I not saying that the streets are paved with gold but in some hotels you’l...

Thanks for a peek... Sounds like you are having some ride. As you might expect we only see some of the surface. Not sure what the street photo 'rules' are but I am very open to see what's behind the curtain. Post some photos when ever you have the time. C...
