Singapore, July 2010 – To commemorate the Singapore Grand Prix in its third year running, TAG Heuer will be launching a limited edition timepiece from its iconic Monaco series - the TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic Calibre 12 Chronograph at 100 pieces only. Also, to mark the brand’s 150th anniversary, TAG Heuer has created for the first time, a second Singapore limited edition for the female clientele – the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Lady’s Ceramic Full Black Diamonds, at 250 pieces worldwide.

The Singapore Limited Edition Monaco timepiece is astonishing. Synonymous with all of TAG Heuer’s previous Singapore Limited editions, it continues to be highlighted with green - in line with the green and red logo of TAG Heuer. This unique green also mirrors the glowing green borders on the Formula One night track when seen from a bird’s eye view.

“The Monaco series is an iconic collection of TAG Heuer for over 40 years and is very well-received by everyone. What better way to show TAG Heuer’s support for the Singapore Grand Prix then to create a Singapore Limited Edition Monaco that delineates both the incredulity of the Singapore F1 race and the brand’s rich motor racing heritage and unprecedented watchmaking skill all in one timepiece. It will be highly sought after by both motor racing enthusiasts and watch connoisseurs alike.” says Mr Jean-Christophe Babin, President and CEO of TAG Heuer.

Mr Babin continued, “As TAG Heuer celebrates 150 years of watchmaking this year, we are pleased to have created another Singapore Limited Edition – the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Lady’s Ceramic Full Black Diamonds. This is the first time our brand has created a limited edition for the ladies seeking their share of the Formula 1 action. With the choice of black diamonds on the timepiece, this pays homage to the success of Singapore’s unique night race format.”

TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic Calibre 12 Chronograph (Singapore Limited Edition)

The TAG Heuer Monaco: a premium Avant-Garde series broke with tradition in 1969 by creating the first square-cased, water-resistant watch in the history of watchmaking. Also the world’s first automatic chronograph featuring unprecedented sophistication, performance and precision, the Monaco continues to represent the timeless motor racing spirit of TAG Heuer. With its Calibre 12 automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this Singapore Limited Edition timepiece seduces in design aesthetics as well; its 39mm square-casing with a 60-second counter at 3”, a date window at 6”, and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 9” on the dial, all of which, are inspired by Steve McQueen & his Porsche 917K in “Le Mans” movie in 1970.
