Salmon is the new blue
I have always loved salmon dials.
They are always different from watch to watch, but also change depending on angle:sunshine/...
Until last year had no salmon dials in my collection.
In january finally received my Kari Voutilainen Vingt-8.
And now just in about 10days, two watches of Patek Philippe added to my collection.
All 3 are very different but oh so charming.
The case of the 5101, just totally smitten about it, could look at it indefinitely - the perfect art deco case.
The case of the Vingt-8 for me is the best rounded case out in the market, these lugs are to die for.
And the perpetual calendar chrono no words needed.

Thanks my friend , like you i find it hard to chose a fav . But the DB was my first with a salmon dail so that one has got a
special place in my collection 😉.
All great, Voutilinen dial work is just incredible. Was able to handle a few of them at Salon QP along with the privilege to hear about them from the Kari himself.
Of note, he was extremely generous with his time to me and others stopping to take a look. Many of them were completely new to the brand and probably not necessarily in his target given their questions---but he was patient and thoughtful in his responses ...

I have a soft spot for the 5270, but could live with the other two as well 😉 Btw, I'm loving more and more salmon dials lately and don't know why.
Any of the 3 is a feast for the eyes, but having such a trio is simply gorgeous, awesome, lucky you Alex

KV salmon dial is perfect
Both Pateks look really flat and dull compared to it. Hopefully, better in person.

Probably the most stunning Patek ever made. Every time I see that watch my heart skips a beat! The subsequent variants never got close to the original Wowzer You lucky sod.
