Aston Martin Vantage 2022, 007 Edition.

Nov 22, 2022,10:47 AM

Here we have a production of 100 cars, 100 James Bond cars, as you could guess from the title of this post.

Credit pictures: Car and Classic.

If I really like the body, the rims and the interior with some cool details ( the signed seats and the carbon here and there ), plus the fact that it has a manual gear box, I am much less sure about the front lights which I totally dislike and the rear lights. Add the big front grill which is not my taste, and I have some mixed feelings which makes me prefer the first edition of the Vantage.

You?

Best,

Nicolas

Oh Why oh why?

I've had lots of Astons in my time, from DB4 to V12 Vantage. There was always and overriding aspect of discrete elegance. I dont have any issues with the style or technical performance but why spend all that money on a car with go-faster stripes and more ...

And Frankly ,

why do Aston keep on marketing this naff-ness? Are they trying to keep up with Omega?

+1

No smoke deterrent, no missles...

No tire-killing jacks, does the license plate flip... does the passenger seat eject? How much weight does bullet-proofing the car add? And, who will be owning the company ten years from now? I love AM, but they jumped the shark.

Excellent!

I feel bad, really

Yet perhaps at some point AM may become a memory of good times. In some way the already are. Now if we could get a modern TVR.... (★‿★) ...

True. That's why we need a modernized version.

I'd love to see what a crazy new TVR would be like (maybe akin to a.Noble Automobile, but with TVR styling). www.noblecars.com

Try and keep us posted. :)

I am an Orlebar Brown fanatic…

They do an 007 line as does Omega and yet for the most part I am extremely skeptical of items badged with that logo (Omega was smart IMO to downplay this on the latest Craig watch which is awesome) regardless of how good the over all design is…and yet the...

So we are in the same boat.

I agree with you....

99%, except for the rear lights (or should I say light cover) which I think is cool (although not quite as cool as the older generation ones LoL). Great pictures, thanks Nico, Filip

...do we take the Escalade, the Range Rover, or the Aston Martin?" : )

LOL!!!

Nice looking car.

I agree the front lights don’t look quite right - too small perhaps. I’m also not a fan of the 007 logos. I don’t think the character of Bond would be into logos. He seems to be more into discrete elegance, with no need to display logos on his clothes or ...

That's unkind to Mazda.
