For those who followed my thread about removing the original wood veneer from my XJ6 and painting a burlwood finish rather than re-veneering, here's the final product!

And one before photo just to show how bad the original wood actually was.

And yes, the Original Wood veneer is extremely vulnerable and especially suffering from heat and sunshine. I‘m happy that I never needed to re-veneer it at my merry old 1978 XJ6... ...

And I see your solar powered "waving queen" in the window. I have the same one in my garage window, a gift from one of my daughters a few years ago. LOL

LOL. Thanks! I've spent my entire life working on cars, although only as a hobby, but this was a big job and just outside my normal comfort level. Still, it was worth the effort. [nt]

Thanks, I have to say I even impressed myself! LOL. Although I will admit I started private art lessons at the age of eight, and spent a good part of my career doing illustrations. [nt]

Thank you! I just gave my son my '94 E420 after deciding the Jag would be my daily driver. The wood in that car has just started to crack and I told him if he removes the pieces, I'll do the painting. LOL [nt]
