In 1956 and 1957 the Continental was a stand alone division of Ford, a step above a Lincoln (much like the early Imperial for Chrysler). The Mark II was a hand built automobile rivaling the Rolls Royce both in price as well as exclusivity. Ford lost a $10...

Never seen such a ‘56 Continental. To me this is car-art; design at it’s best. I like coupé’s that are a bit more stretched and I love it when the distance between front wheel and A-pilar is long, like in this case. Do you know how long the car as such me...
