Technically not a Lincoln, but the Mark II was incredible!
Feb 13, 2020,17:45 PM
In 1956 and 1957 the Continental was a stand alone division of Ford, a step above a Lincoln (much like the early Imperial for Chrysler). The Mark II was a hand built automobile rivaling the Rolls Royce both in price as well as exclusivity. Ford lost a $1000.00 on each one produced. These are the last of the great American hand built cars...absolutely awesome.
You have a great eye, and luck to catch one of these in the wild. There is a gentleman in my town who has his father’s 1956 in unrestored and for its age amazing condition. What a presence on the road.
Thank you,
Wojo
